Terms of Service for Customers

(Customers purchasing tickets to events through the Comus platform)

Last Updated: 25/09/2025

1. Introduction

Bootstrap Group Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Comus software platform (“Comus”). Comus provides event organisers (“Organisers”) with tools to sell tickets, manage events and related services.
When you purchase a ticket via Comus (the “Service”), you enter into a contract directly with the Organiser of that event. We are not the event organiser and are not responsible for the event itself.

By buying a ticket through Comus you agree to these Terms of Service for Customers and our Privacy Policy.

2. Nature of Our Role

  • Software Provider Only: We provide only the technology platform that enables Organisers to sell tickets. We are not a party to the contract between you and the Organiser.

  • Event Responsibility: All responsibility for the event—including its safety, quality, timing, and content—rests solely with the Organiser.

  • No Guarantees: We do not guarantee that any event will take place as described or at all.

3. UK Consumer Rights

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable UK consumer protection laws apply to your purchase.

  • Any rights to refunds, exchanges or other remedies arise against the Organiser, not Comus.

  • Organisers must provide their own terms and conditions and contact details for such matters.

4. Payments and Fees

  • Ticket prices and any booking or transaction fees will be clearly displayed before you pay.

  • Payment processing is handled by third-party providers (e.g. Stripe). We are not liable for their acts or omissions.

5. Refunds, Cancellations and Chargebacks

  • Refunds: We do not issue refunds. Any refund, cancellation or dispute regarding an event must be addressed directly with the Organiser.

  • Chargebacks: If you seek a chargeback from your payment provider, the outcome is between you, your payment provider and the Organiser.

6. Data Protection

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018.

7. Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage you suffer in relation to the event, including cancellation, changes, delays, personal injury or other issues.

  • Our total liability to you in connection with your use of the Service is limited to the total booking fees (if any) we have received from you in the past 6 months.

8. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a court or other competent authority, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

9. Disputes and Governing Law

This Agreement and any dispute arising out of it are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

10. Changes

We may update this Agreement from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
